Shifting Market

Kenyan companies looking to investment opportunities in DRC Congo thus shifting focus from other East African Countries. This is after the Word Bank tipped the nation as the next frontier for growth and influence education thus benefits mostly children and youths in the country.

Equity group which recently pointed to the strategic importance of its DRC’s subsidiaries to it’s future in Banking. Equity main purpose is promoting regional trade, business growth,  mobilizing SMES, championing networking and coordinating operations.

Economic Growth

Despite the weakening global economic growth and Covid-19 pandemic in the country which led to fall in both demand and price for minerals, DRC’s economy is expected to remain resilient, according to the World Bank, because of the increase in public and private investments, particularly in infrastructure, At the same time, signs of the country’s transformation can be seen in the capital, Kinshasa, and other major cities, from improved road infrastructure to multiple building sites and towering cranes across the city putting the country in a road map of the economy.

Investment

High returns on investments is another key reason for investing in the DRC and the region.

While the conflict in eastern DRC is unlikely to end soon, the country’s economic prospects remain positive.

The Congolese economy  is expected to rebound in 2021 and 2022 if the world economy does, which assumes a subdued pandemic according to African Economic Outlook 2021 by the African Development Bank.

Investment

The growth rate of the Congolese economy fell from 6.9% in 2015 to 2.5% in 2016 but could rebound to 4.0% in 2017and 5.2% in 2018 given the expected arise in prices of the countries raw materials.
